Here is a brief description of the products generally used at Hydrosol. Some of these products are subject to change depending on the time of the season and any modifications may occur depending on the type of terrain or project to be carried out.
Hydro Écono
Hydrosol Econo is a reliable and economical mixture comprising 5 varieties of seeds specially designed for large areas while having a healthy and viable appearance when mature. This mixture adapts very well to soil with little organic matter and is oriented towards a result that adapts to our Quebec climatic conditions.
Hydro Supreme
Specially designed by Hydrosol, this mixture based on 14 varieties has been genetically modified to offer a product of exceptional quality respecting all the best environmental criteria and giving a rich and very full lawn once mature. Our mixture has all the advantages of a turf lawn without investing so much time and money in it.
Its root system is unique and its biodiversity makes our mix very tolerant to droughts and cold conditions. It's also eco-friendly, and it's good for children and pets. This blend performs in both sun and shaded areas. This blend is the pride of our expertise.
Hydro Elite +
Hydro Elite + is our brand new product exclusive to Hydrosol and unique in the province, this reliable and superior quality mixture is composed of several varieties of certified and laboratory approved seeds thus supporting its effectiveness and resistance. This product is designed since the seed varieties have been tested in order to prove their benefits.
Our mixture has all the advantages of a turf lawn and just like our other product, it respects the environment in all its aspects and is biodegradable. This seed is significantly stronger than any turf grass and is a long-term advantage.
Hydro Ombra
Our Ombra mix is a hybrid between selectively chosen varieties that adapt well to shade and have the objective of making inaccessible places green. Our 5 varieties specially designed for shade will make the finest lawn with a dark green color.
Hydro Toundra
Specially formulated from 8 genetically modified varieties for almost minimum maintenance and requiring little fertilization. It also provides rapid germination in all conditions.
Our mix provides a long-term solution and fights the weed and allows for a healthy establishment. Perfectly shade-tolerant, our Tundra mixture is unique and can generate substantial savings in mowing and can go up to one mowing per month depending on the region.

Our recipe
The water
Water acts as a carrier in the mixture. In constant contact with the seed, the water triggers the germination process upon application.
Seeds
Using seeds superior to any other seed, Hydrosol makes sure to control the quality of the seeds for each application and uses several genetics to diversify and adapt to Quebec climates.
Fertilizers
We use fertilizers that work spectacularly as starter fertilizers. These slow release fertilizers stimulate and induce seed rooting and microbial activity during the first 20 days of growth.
Mulch
Hydrosol will determine the correct mulch product to use, as each application sometimes requires a different mulch. When watered, the mulch gives a green or brown color to the soil. In addition to giving an immediate attractive appearance to the ground, it protects the seed. The moisture stored in the thick rigid layer is conducive to the growth of the lawn. Its properties are not only nutritious, but 100% biodegradable. This compound may end up on your concrete or pavers. Have no fear, a light rain or a simple watering will erase all traces.
